ABOUT DAMIAN O'TOOLE
TOWN PLANNING
Damian O’Toole Town Planning (DOTP Pty Ltd) was formed in 2003 by Damian O’Toole, after gaining experience working for various Councils in Sydney and London.
Experience has been gained in a wide range of development proposals including small scale residential development to large scale commercial, industrial and mixed use development proposals.
A collaborative approach to ensuring appropriate development is achieved is our driving motivation. Our clients include individuals, architects, developers and Councils.
We are therefore in a unique position to offer advice that is based on an understanding of the requirements and aspirations of both the public and private sectors.
We aim to assist our clients with professional, honest and sound advice.
Advice is also always up to date and our staff are endorsed as Certified Practicing Planners by the Planning Institute of Australia and as heritage advisors with appropriate tertiary qualifications and experience.
Through our contact experience, we can also recommend other experts (architects, engineers, landscapers, acoustic consultants etc.) and put you in contact with our associates to assist in other aspects of the development approval.
DAMIAN O’TOOLE
Damian O’Toole is the principal planner and owner of the company. Damian started his career at various Council’s including the City of Sydney Council where experience was gained in assessing development proposals relating to all types of development including alterations to houses, new apartment buildings, new businesses including gyms and cafes, late opening bars and nightclubs, hotels and other visitor accommodation. Following the City of Sydney Council, Damian spent time working at Woollahra Council, Waverley Council, Inner West Council and Bayside Council, again assessing a wide variety of development proposals and developing Development Application assessment processes. Working at such a wide number of central Sydney Councils has provided a good understanding of the procedures and processes each Council undertakes. Damian has run his own planning practice since 2003 and has developed good working relationships with Inner Sydney Councils, often providing services to these Councils. Damian also possesses qualifications relating to Heritage Conservation and has developed an understanding and awareness of requirements relating to Heritage matters.
SUSI RIEDL
Susi has town planning qualifications and extensive experience relating to Inner Sydney Development Proposals. Susi has specialist interest in building sustainability and possesses qualifications in residential and commercial building energy ratings. Susi worked at a construction company and has a good awareness of construction techniques.
ALICE TICKERS
Alice has significant experience in heritage conservation and has worked in London for a Government Agency dealing with heritage items in London. Alice’s knowledge broadens our ability to deal with more technically challenging heritage developments.
ZACH LEMONIUS
Zach is studying a Master’s of Planning Degree at the Western Sydney University and is a valuable member of the team, developing his understanding of good planning practice.
